Wikipedia does not like seo contests !
For the V7ndotcom Elursrebmem the Wikipedia article about the contest was removed quickly.

They seems to be really fed up with spam links. This time after an attempt of a french Globalwarming Awareness2007 competitor to add an article with a lot of inbound links the wikipedia staff has decided to put all the links in nofollow so that it can not weight anymore on search engines rankings.

But would it solve the problem ?
I do not think so because on my blogs the nofollow does not seem to afraid spam bots.
